Today is reserved for a full-day excursion to the high-altitude glacial lake of Tsomgo, located at an elevation of 12,400 feet and surrounded by snow-covered peaks.Â

Just a few kilometers ahead is Baba Mandir, a shrine built in memory of an Indian soldier and revered as a spiritual site. If weather permits and permits are available, you can also visit the historic Nathula Pass—one of the few open Indo-China border crossings.Â

Pick-up Timings: Pick-up from the airport is available only between 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM. If arriving later, inform Trending Vacays in advance, as alternate arrangements might require a stay in Siliguri.
ID Proof: A government-approved photo ID (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID) is mandatory for booking and upon arrival. PAN card and Driving License are not valid for address proof.
Hotel Standards: Hotel star categories are not regulated, and room standards may differ from those in larger cities. Standard rooms are booked unless upgraded by request.
Rooms: Triple sharing rooms will have extra mattresses. Rooms are basic in North-East due to infrastructure limitations.
Senior Citizens/Infants: Not recommended for Gurudongmar Lake due to low oxygen levels. Infants under 2 years are not allowed in North Sikkim.
Nathu La Pass: Subject to availability and weather, additional costs (INR 4000–9000) apply. Permits are granted only from Wednesday to Sunday.
Vehicle Guidelines: Vehicles are available on a point-to-point basis, not on disposal. Sumo/Bolero vehicles may be dropped at distant locations.
Weather & Delays: Roadblocks, weather, or political disturbances may cause delays. Customer discretion is advised.
Health and Safety: No electric heaters allowed; use of room heaters may incur extra charges. It is advised not to consume alcohol at high altitudes.
Foreign Nationals: Not allowed to visit Lachen, Baba Mandir, or Nathula Pass. Solo foreign nationals need an Indian guide for Lachung and Tsomgo Lake.
Permits: Changes in the itinerary due to adverse weather or political conditions will be at the customer's expense.
Force Majeure: In case of force majeure events, Trending Vacays reserves the right to adjust or reschedule tours for safety.
Cancellation Policy: Changes made within 15 days of travel will incur charges. No modifications for certain bookings. Full cancellation policy applies.
Carry valid government ID proofs and 2–3 passport-size photos for permits and hotel check-ins.
Keep photocopies of important documents and store soft copies on your phone as backup.
Nathula Pass and Tsomgo Lake require permits and may have poor mobile connectivity—plan accordingly.
Carry a power bank, charging cable, and a multi-plug adapter (especially useful for hotel stays).
Mobile networks may be weak in high-altitude or remote areas—BSNL and Jio work best in Sikkim hills.
Breakfast Availability: Breakfast availability in the hotel on the first and last day depends on your arrival and departure timings.
Package Amendments: The difference in cost due to changes in the number of guests, hotel, itinerary, etc., shall be borne by the client.
Hotel Availability: Hotels are subject to availability. If not available, travelers will be accommodated in a property of a similar standard.
Itinerary Changes: Trending Vacays reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e., weather conditions, political conditions, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
Covid Guidelines: Covid Guidelines (including RT-PCR Test) issued by the state government are to be followed. Social distancing is to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
Medical Facilities: Oxygen cylinder & backup vehicle will be provided wherever the medical services are not readily available.
Altitude Acclimatization: Climatic conditions in high altitudes vary from the plains; you should take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
Health Precautions: Consult a physician before undertaking the tour. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the tour.
Liability: Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like a change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, roadblocks, etc. will not be accommodated in the package cost. No bill will be reimbursed for any missed service/facility.
Tour Completion: Because of any reason natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
Guidance: Pay heed to the tour guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound tour.
Entry Tickets: All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
Cash Requirements: Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
Medical Certificate: All the travelers are requested to carry a copy of their medical certificate (if any) with them.
Mid-Trip Departure: If in case any traveler wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveler. Neither the operator nor Trending Vacays will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
Road Blocks: During the trip, in case the roads are blocked due to landslides or a reason that is beyond control, Trending Vacays will rearrange the itinerary for the travelers real-time, however, the cost of alternative accommodation will be borne by the customer as the hotels pre-booked execute their cancellation policies and are nonrefundable.
Rescheduling Policy (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings:
1. If rescheduling is made 7 days after the Booking Date till 15 days prior to the Date of Travel then 30.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees.
2. If rescheduling is made 0 days to 15 days before the Date of Travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
3. If bookings are made 15 days before the Date of Travel no rescheduling & modifications will be made.
Rescheduling Policy for Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modification or Rescheduling will be catered. A standard cancellation policy will be applicable for such cases.
Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseeable circumstances), Trending Vacays reserves the right to reschedule Tours & treks or offer alternative itineraries to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
Cancellation After Rescheduling: Clients who reschedule their tours or treks but later decide to cancel will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. Any rescheduling fees paid will be non-refundable.
Confirmation Policy:
Payment can be made in installments.
Upon the first payment, you will receive an email confirmation.
Once the 100% payment for your booking is completed, you will receive the booking voucher containing all the information about your trip.
Refund Policy:
The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days if any.
Cancellation Policy:
If cancellations are made 30 days before the date of travel, then 25.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
For cancellations made 15 to 30 days before the date of travel, 50.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
Cancellations made 0 to 15 days before the date of travel will result in a 100.0% charge of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
